PMS

Premenstural Syndrome (PMS) is a group of symtoms linked to the menstural cycle and most often occur 1-2 weeks before mensturation. The symptoms felt as well as the degree of severity is different for every woman. Some women may be more likely to experience PMS because the symptoms are related to the way hormonal changes affect their bodies.

PMS often includes both physical and emotional symptoms, such as:

  • Acne

  • Swollen or tender breasts

  • Feeling tired

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Upset stomach, bloating, constipation, or diarrhea

  • Headache or backache

  • Appetite changes or food cravings

  • Joint or muscle pain

  • Trouble with concentration or memory

  • Tension, irritability, mood swings, or crying spells

  • Anxiety or depression

How can Acupuncture help?

Acupuncture helps to regulate the body's hormones. We look at an individual's imbalances and work to regulate those which in turn reduce PSM symptoms.
